Metal Exchange Corporation specializes in supplying specification and near-spec RSI to a wide variety of aluminum consumers: foundries, mills, casting operations and others. Near spec RSI represents substantial value by filling the analytical requirements of the final product while avoiding the higher cost of Aluminum Association specification ingot. Sourcing from a wide variety of scrap and dross, and processing in a number of midwest melting operations, Metal Exchange Corporation selects products to meet individual customer needs.

Typical customers are extrusion billet plants, foundries, and rolling mills. Metal Exchange’s familiarity with each consumer’s furnace charging requirements and specifications allows us the ability to constantly search our widespread inventory to ship RSI tailored to fit into their mix. Because the RSI always represents a value when compared to other types of charging materials, Metal Exchange can lower cost and increase raw material availability at the same time.

Aluminum Billet

For more than 30 years, Metal Exchange Corporation has employed a team of specialists who serve the aluminum extrusion market. Our experience, expertise, and understanding of the billet and extrusion market help our customers, extruders and fabricators, obtain and utilize their aluminum units in the most cost effective manner available, tailored to their specific needs.With long term committments of primary billet from domestic and offshore producers, as well as our own two secondary billet operations, Metal Exchange Corporation can offer a consistent and uninterrupted supply of billet. This reliability assists our customers in their production planning, maintaining low inventories, shorter lead times, and fast turn around on scrap generated.

Our billet operations, coupled with our private transportation fleet of tractors and more than 250 trailers, helps create a special advantage in the recycling of an extruder’s scrap to billet. Storage and double handling of extrusion scrap are eliminated by the placement of our trailers for loading at the scrap generator’s location. We can handle all grades of aluminum extrusion scrap including mill, painted, thermal and saw chips.
